Nottingham Country MUD (NCMUD) uses an outside company, Classic Messaging, to maintain an Emergency Notification System that includes residents’ phone numbers and emails to be used only in times of system emergencies, such as water or sewer outages or Boil Water notices. This free, but optional, service is available to all residents and businesses in the NCMUD but the contact information must be supplied to Classic Messaging by the resident or business. Prospective customers can indicate how they wish to be contacted: by text, voicemail, email or all three. If you were not contacted during the Hurricane Harvey outages in August, 2017, you are either not signed up or the number you previously provided is no longer valid. Once you are signed up, it is up to each individual to notify Classic Messaging whenever your contact information changes.
